I hope neither of you ever is assigned to care for me or anyone I know. The reason you have a job is bc sick people need care. You don’t get to pick the type of person you care for. Shame on you. That’s why I watch everything and everyone in the hospital. They bring their ignorance and biases right through the hospital doors. You don’t HAVE to do anything! If you have a problem with a patient of a certain type…quit. I can bet he has a big life insurance policy on her, so he is pretending to love her. She’s not saying she wants to pick her patients. She’s saying she has to significantly alter other people’s care because overweight patients take up more time, energy, and manpower.
