Would you rather be eating soup and soft food for the rest of your life (applesauce vs. apples, etc.)? There’s a reason for sharp teeth—chewing, tearing food is very important. It’s not about you or convenience. I’m assuming “dulling” is filing the teeth down. Let me tell you what happens to the tooth over time. You would be exposing the root of the tooth. As the dog ages, that root could become abscessed due to chewing on the weakened area. Not only is that painful for the dog, it’s also painful for your pocketbook. Having a root canal, or just removing the tooth, means anesthesia and a costly vet visit. Do your dog a favor. Leave his teeth alone and let nature do the rest.

 There's an old saying, “Love me, love my dog.” People bond very closely with their personal animals. He wants you to share in that. You need to ask yourself why you wouldn't want to interact with an animal he loves. Smells funny? Jumps on you? Don't want to share his attention? The dog is part of his family. I was always a cat person. My husband loved dogs. For Christmas one year, he handed me a tiny black ball of fur named Smoke as my present. She was a Eurasian Chow. Beautiful face, sparkling black eyes, black tongue, and very loving. I grew to love her, despite constantly brushing 3 layers of fur, baths when she jumped out of the tub and threw soap suds all over the house, vacuuming, walking in all kinds of weather. She loved to ride in the car with her head out of the window. She loved to play in the snow and autumn leaves. She loved to watch the rabbits and squirrels. I lost my husband 3 years later, but Smoke comforted me, listened to me cry, mourned with me, and protected me from strangers. She would silently steal up to a threatening personage and only make herself known when she was within striking distance. All I had to do was give her the word. She was my dog for 18 years. She died of cancer in my front yard. Her vet agreed to euthanize her in my arms while she watched the rabbits and squirrels one last time. You have no idea what you are missing in not experiencing the love and loyalty of a dog.

 I happened to work at a very good, private nursing home. I had heard rumors about neglect from other employees there, but I had never known of any of these. However, I had especially become very close friends with a 98-year old patient there who happened to be blind and wore a colostomy bag. One day when I visited him he told me that the nurse on that floor was not handing him any food whatsoever, because he had soiled himself. At this point, I made the decision to call this his family and report the abuse. His family showed up and asked the home’s administration because I reported the abuse to them. A few days after that, I was fired. And I never found out as to what had happened to the poor man, I hoped however that the family had gone ahead and reported the abuse and that nursing home to the right authorities. And that’s the most disgusting example and abuse I have ever witnessed.

 Every day since I got her. I woke up just enough to see her charge across the room and I heard a crash from the dining room. She had come out of one of those half asleep naps you see your dog take. She jumped from laying flat on the floor to a dead out charge across the room. So I went out to see where she had gone. I looked in all the rooms of the house because I just couldn’t find her. Finally, I noticed some movement under the table and pulled a chair out so she could escape from the jail she had run into. She never caught that mouse. She does keep the backyard free of vermin, though.

The FBI had infiltrated Russian computers and were able to nail down those individuals who were responsible for infiltrating Democratic National Committee computers. During the 2020 election, those in charge of election security were more vigilant. But, no matter how you spin it, there are still people who are going to believe that the 2020 election was stolen. There is no way, with the margin of victory that Biden won by, that many votes could have been fraudulently cast. It is incumbent that officials, when they have been defeated, and have exhausted all avenues of redress, bow out gracefully. Hillery Clinton, Albert Gore, George Herbert Walker Bush, and countless others have done so after defeat. Our 45th president needs to understand that he is an adult, and needs to do the mature thing.
