You can filter your feed by following the people who write on topics which you want to read. #No Filter Shirt. You can follow those topic pages as well. To not see anything related to any particular topic like Donald Trump, you can go the topic page of “Donald Trump” as well as “Donald Trump Presidential campaign 2016” and mute the topics. And make sure that you are not following those 2 topics. In addition to the above, I personally subscribe to people’s accounts, rather than just follow them. In fact, for many writers, I have actually subscribed to their profile then follow them. I do this for 2 reasons. Subscribing to a writer directly helps me not to miss any answers to that writer.

Perhaps unfollow quite a few of the topics you currently follow. Right now you probably follow a lot of very broad topics. Trim them, and replace some with more specific topics. If you are going for the club-hammer approach, you can actually Mute topics. That’ll reduce the prevalence of content from that topic in your feed. Follow a few more people, lose some others; but choose people you follow by the content you enjoy and check! Have a look at their profile page before you follow them. You don’t like inane questions? Well, I like my feed, in general, yet I still see one or two of these from time to time. Problem is, sometimes I answer them. Problem is, they aren’t inane to some people.
