Well, last time I looked, Alberta was part of Canada. So it’s their oil to do with as they see fit. The only missing information is how much is there? If it’s a big deposit, they should probably go for it. But if it’s not, they may be better off saving it for the proverbial rainy day. One of these days, someone will invent a process that will do away with using oil for electrical energy, but until then, oil is where it’s at. So far alternatives like solar and wind have too many problems to rely on them full time, and the Left hates nuclear. Hydro is clean, but there are too few places where it’s practical. And the decision is political, not practical, and I sincerely doubt they would pay attention to me.
