Some can, but the doses for different species are often different, and not just by weight differences. Different dewormers also remove different worms, there is no ‘one dewormer fits all’. If you think your pet has worms or you see some, contact your vet and ask them to examine a fresh stool sample for parasite eggs and larvae. Often you are only seeing one species of worm when the pet has several kinds! The vet can then help you choose a dewormer that is going to get rid of all of the ones present.
