 In what context do you mean. If you mean that you want the dog to just bark at the cats and scare them off then yea that’s okay but if you mean you want the dog to kill the cats then you have a mental problem. It’s already hard enough to survive on your own as a stray let alone a cat. Especially since stray cats get twice as much hate as stray dogs and get abused and poisoned more often than other stray (commonly known house pet) animals. Imagine being a cat just looking for food, water, safety, love, just anything that can keep you (and maybe your kittens) alive and have a fighting chance at life and here comes a big dog (I’m assuming 2–5 times bigger than you though some dogs are even bigger than that) and it starts attacking you and trying to kill you. That’s terrifying to think about even as a human. Cats are very misunderstood and shouldn’t be treated as badly as they are. Just like humans, they can get mental problems, they have emotions and feelings, they need food and water to survive and they didn’t ask to be born so they are just trying their best to make it through life just like a normal person. So cut the cats some slack and don’t kill them. Scare them off? Sure, but do not kill them please
