I like to bake and make fudge. My baking chocolate was on the shelf in the pantry, and one day when my husband came home from work our dog Desire had gotten into the pantry and eaten all of the baking chocolate. Before I even got to the carport door I could smell the chocolate from her vomiting and Diarrhea. I called the vet & told her how much chocolate Desire had eaten. She said to get her to the clinic immediately because she was in critical condition. While I was on my way there she checked with the Animal Poison Control Center and they helped her to create Desire’s treatment plan, which started with forcing her to eat liquid charcoal. Desiree was in the ICU for three days & we almost lost her.
