While this question may seem odd, it is not irrelevant at all. Mice, voles, shrews, and birds are common prey for cats that may be infected with roundworms which pass to the cat when eaten. This can even occur when a mother cat passes the infection to her kittens from larvae in her milk. An unusually swollen tummy in a kitten can be a sign of this. So, if your cat has been munching on roadkill then yes, it’s possible. Watch for lethargy, vomiting, weight loss or any unusual changes and get kitty to the vet. By the way, no sincere question is stupid. Asking questions is how we learn so keep wondering and asking. I learned something today too!
